JOSEPH WOODEN

On August 21st, 2018, Joseph Wooden, of 127 Ruth Harris Way, Hopewell, departed this life unexpectedly.

He was born to his parents, Jacqueline Wooden and Joseph Williams of Prince George.

Joseph was a graduate of Prince George public schools. Upon graduating with his diploma, he pursued his passion for cutting hair. He received his license in Hopewell, where he continued to work.

Joseph enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, playing video games and cooking. He spent much of his time at family events and loved listening to music.

He was preceded in death by: his grandmothers, Barbara Jean Allen and Geraldine Wooden; Nathaniel Fields; his aunt, Teresa Williams; and cousin, Alexander Allen, III.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Domonica (Williams) Wooden of Waco, Texas; and his one and only child, Ny'Kerah Evans-Wooden (also known as "daddy nuskiebear" by her beloved father); mothers, Jacqueline Wooden and Yvette Morse; his father, Joseph Williams (Altrina); grandfather, Alexander Allen; sisters, Shanae Wooden-Hill (Gary) and Mataya Wooden; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of life will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the First Baptist Church Hopewell, 401 N. Second Ave., Hopewell. Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George.
