PAMELA R. UZZLE

The Rev. Pamela Roberts Uzzle, of Petersburg, Va., departed this life on Thursday morning, June 5, 2014, at Southside Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 30, 1956, to the late William and Mittie Greene Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Roberts Fisher, and her brother Steve Davis.

She was a warm and caring person. She was a lover of people. She was a caretaker for many throughout the years. She felt that taking care of others was one of her callings.

She was ordained to preach the gospel by Pastor Anthony Johnson in San Diego. At the time of her passing, she was an associate minister at Bible Christian Center, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Wayne; three sons, Romal, Delondale and Antwaren Roberts; a devoted brother, the Rev. William H. Roberts and his wife, Valerie; granddaughter, Kaylah Barker; grandson, Damon Roberts; two nieces, Alyssa Roberts and Laquita McCrae; two nephews, William Roberts III and Steve Davis Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The celebration of life service for the Rev. Pamela Roberts Uzzle will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the chapel of Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. William H. Roberts, pastor of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Hopewell, Va., will be the eulogist. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at the funeral home.
