Stuart A. Talbott

Stuart Allen Talbott, 82, of Wake Forest, N.C., passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011. He was born in Petersburg, Va., the son of the late Stuart Oliver Talbott and Virginia Mayes Talbott. Mr. Talbott was a graduate of Petersburg High School and Hampden-Sydney College and was retired from Mobil Oil Company after 38 years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2011, at St. John's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Dr. Vicky Smith officiating. Burial will be held at 3 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon in the Blandford Cemetery, 319 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Va.

Mr. Talbott is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary Helen Daniel Talbott of Oxford, N.C.; children, Stacey Talbott Privette of Wake Forest, N.C., and Scott Allen Talbott and wife, Emily Miller Talbott of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Mary Stuart Privette of Wake Forest, N.C., William Meade Privette of Wake Forest, N.C., and Jackson Alexander Parks of Dallas, Texas; cousin, Kenneth Stuart Gardner of Oxford, N.C.

Mr. Talbott was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Norton Talbott.
