Thomas Perry Obituary

Mr. Thomas William Perry, 81, formerly of 309 New St., Waverly, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Waverly Health Care Center, Waverly. He was born Sept. 30, 1928, to the late Lucy and Richard Perry. Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church, Waverly. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Nora Tate, Elsie Green, Daisy Jackson and Mary Smith; two brothers, Robert Lee Perry and Richard Perry.

Mr. Perry leaves to cherish his memories: his sister, the Rev. Ellen M. Dugger of Washington, D.C. and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Waverly, with the Rev. Dr. Samuel Robinson officiating. The interment will be in the Church cemetery. Mr. Perry may be viewed from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday afternoon at Peace-Bland Funeral Home, 237 Railroad Ave., Waverly. Family will receive friends Saturday morning 11 a.m. until the time of service for the wake.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of William N. Bland and Son Funeral Home, Petersburg.
