WILLIAM H. MASON JR.

Mr. William Henry Mason, Jr., better known as "Junnie and Uncle Applejack" passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. at 3:25 p.m. at McGuire Veterans Medical Center, Richmond, Va. Junnie was born November 2, 1956, in Prince George, Va., to William H. Mason, Sr. and Reather M. Fitchett Mason.

Junnie was a graduate of Prince George High School before joining the United States Army. He was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church, Disputanta, Va. After serving in the Army, he resided in Valdosta, Ga., for over thirty years. He relocated to Petersburg, Va., in 2010, and joined Word of Faith Worship Center.

Junnie was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Mason, Sr. and Reather M. Fitchett Mason; sisters, Charlotte and Delores Mason; brother, Joshur Watkins; and nephew, John Goines.

Left to cherish his memory, his daughters, Jody and Wakia Mason of Valdosta, Ga.; sisters, Rev. Carolyn Mason of Chester, Va., and Barbara Baugh of Petersburg, Va.; brother, John Mason of Petersburg, Va.; nephews, James, Christopher and Tony Mason of Petersburg, Va.; nieces, Kimberly Mason of Chester, Va., Ebony Mitchell (Jefferson) of Suffolk, Va., Yaschica Mason of Petersburg, Va., and Sherita Holloway of New York; great-nieces and nephews, devoted Ashia, Judea, McKayla, Ayanna, Quiana and Joseph; devoted cousins, Louis Johnson and James Johnson; devoted friends, Dorothy Davis (Dot) of Valdosta, Ga., Sam and Maretta of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. William H. Mason, Jr. will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va., Apostle Decarlo Smith, eulogist.
