Albert DiFONZO Obituary
83, of Cushman Avenue, passed away Friday February 10, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Sylvia B. (Mansolillo) DiFonzo. Born in Providence he was a son of the late Antonio and Lince (Napoleoni) DiFonzo.
Mr. DiFonzo worked for Speidel-Textron and G.T. Sehjeldahl before retiring. He was a Graduate of East Providence High School and Bryant College. He was a communicant, Choir Member and Lector at Our Lady of Loreto Church. Al was a Past President of the American Production and Inventory Control Society, Providence Chapter. He was a member of the Order of the Sons of Italy, East Providence, Sun Valley Country Club and the Goddard Park Senior Golf League.
Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Christine M. Lilley and her husband Daniel of East Providence, one son, Albert J. DiFonzo, Jr. of Chamblee Georgia, three grandchildren, Christina Taylor DiFonzo, Carter John DiFonzo and Neil Thomas Lilley, one sister, Cecelia M. DiFonzo of Warwick, one brother, John A. DiFonzo of California and many loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lillian Burgio.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Loreto Church, Memorial Fund, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.

Sylvia and family......so saddened to read of Al's passing. I remember him as a very kind and gentle man whenever we were together mostly at Old Stone get togethers many years ago.. John and I offer our sincere sympathy in your loss.
