Anita Mesyna Obituary
79, of Hillside Ave., East Providence, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the RI Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald Mesyna and companion of the late Gardiner "Red" Pickering.
Born Aug. 21, 1937, in Providence, she was daughter of the late Raul Simoes and the late Adelaide (Cruz) Simmons.
She leaves her children, Donna Panzarella and her husband Stephen, Joyce Mesyna, and Joseph Mesyna and his wife Rachel; 6 grandchildren, Reagan, Bethany, Jamie, Stacy, Katelyn, and Justin; 4 great grandchildren, Johnathan, Ariana, Kate and Brooke; and her brother, Raul Simoes.
She was also the grandmother of the late Lindsay Panzarella and sister of the late Isabel Veneno, Manuel Simoes and John Simoes.
Her funeral will begin Monday, Nov. 23, at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be private at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon, 2pm until 5pm.
