Anita Tetreault Obituary

TETREAULT, ANITA TARDIF 95, formerly of Vineyard Avenue, Cumberland, RI, passed away April 18, 2016 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Oscar Tetreault. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Louis Philip Tardif and Alice Beaulieu. Most recently she resided in Arizona but previously residing in Pawtucket and then Cumberland for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland, RI. She leaves her daughter, Jacqueline Tetreault, MD of San Tan Valley, AZ; formerly a partner at Womens Care, in East Greenwich; her grandchildren, Lauren and Colin Perry; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Gobin, Evelyn Cinqmars, Armand Tardif, Raymond Tardif, Roland Tardif, and Robert Tardif. She was a talented seamstress and co-owned the business "Anita and Evelyn Alterations" with her sister in Pawtucket. She was also the Shop Steward at Pawtucket Dress for many years. She loved everything Rhode Island, especially coffee ice cream, and even though she lived in Arizona the last 5 years, her heart was in RI. She loved traveling and spending time with her family, and was a proud grandmother. We will miss her independent spirit. A celebration of her life and a mass of Christian Burial will be held on SATURDAY, May 7 at 9 AM in St. Aidan Church. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in the RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, 2020 E Woodside CT, Gilbert, AZ 85297.
