Anna Verardo

VERARDO, ANNA F. (RICCI), 83, of Providence, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late John Verardo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Vendetelli) Ricci. Anna worked as a Lunch Lady for the Providence School Department for over 30 years. For the last four years she worked at St. Pius V Day Care. She was a 23 year survivor of breast cancer. She leaves three sons, John T. Verardo, Anthony A. Verardo and Stephen A. Verardo; a daughter, Anne-Marie Verardo; two brothers, Thomas Ricci and Felix Ricci; three sisters, Carmela DelGrande, Theresa Cardarelli and Maryann Califano and eight cherished grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Ricci. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
