Anthony D'Arezzo Obituary

D'AREZZO, ANTHONY, SR., 76, of Oakhurst Dr., Greenville passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Tufts-NEMC after a short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Beatrice (Carpentier) D'Arezzo.

He was born in Providence a son of the late Luigi and Carmella (Zanfagna) D'Arezzo. Mr. D'Arezzo was co-owner of D'Arezzo Brothers Construction Co with his surviving brother Albert D'Arezzo of Cranston. Beside his wife and brother he is survived by his four children; Donnalee Grist and her husband Robert of Smithfield, Raymond D'Arezzo and his wife Kathy of Smithfield, Deborah Safford and her husband Jim of Cumberland and Anthony D'Arezzo Jr. of Smithfield. He is the grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 2. He is also the brother of Clara DiBattista of Cranston and the late Elizabeth Furia, Genevive Quaranta, Cotilda Gerbino, Amelia Smith, Pasco, Bartholomew, Raymond and Dr. Louis D'Arezzo.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:15am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Phillip's Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville at 9:30am. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Entombment will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anthony's memory may be made to the Cam Neeley Foundation for Cancer Care; The Neeley House at T-NEMC, 750 Washington St., Box 0716, Boston MA 02111.
