Carol DeRosa Obituary

DeROSA, CAROL A. (FALCO), 68, of Simmonsville Ave., Johnston, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Carlo A. DeRosa.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Lillian (Whittaker) Falco.

Carol was a jewelry expeditor for Van Mosman Industries for many years before retiring.

Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Steven A. DeRosa of Johnston, John J. DeRosa of Johnston, Carl A. DeRosa of Warwick and Carla M. Russo of Johnston; loving grandmother of eight; and dear sister of Donna Comella of Cranston.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigids Church, 1231 Plainfield St., Johnston at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Visiting Nurse Service of Greater RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Lincoln, RI 02865.

my sincere sympathy to carols family. we were friends as teenagers. i have fond memories of many firsts trying to drive standard shift , bowling, hanging out at the root beer stand and all those "happydays" type of experiences. carol was beautiful inside and out and one of those dear schoolfriends you never forget im so sorry she has gone.
