Charles Cash Obituary

CASH, CHARLES A., 88, of Division Street, Pawtucket, died Saturday at RI Hospital in Providence. Mr. Cash was the husband of the late Olive L. (Riley) Cash.

Born in Boston, MA, son of the late Winthrop and Jamima (Robertson) Cash. Mr. Cash lived most of his life in Pawtucket.

An accomplished banjo player, Mr. Cash was the leader of the Banjo Boys Band for many years. His band played at various political rallies, senior centers, and parties. He was an army veteran of World War II.

He leaves two sons, Charles A. and Robert F. Cash both of Pawtucket. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will be in RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours in the funeral home Tuesday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Center, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220 in Mr. Cash's memory.

I believe Papa went to take care of Gram and Chris.I am very fortunate that I did have 35 years to enjoy with him.Barry and I will never forget our "swap your partner"wedding dance or the banjo celebration....He showed us ALL how to have some fun with ALOT of laughs.Father and Uncle Charlie: "He's with Ma now".
