David Bishop

BISHOP, DAVID JUDSON 82 of King Philip Avenue in Barrington, died November 3 after a short illness. David was born at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois on January 10, 1932. He was the son of Jean & Catharine S. Bishop. David was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. After his service, he attended and graduated from Boston University. He spent his working life employed by the State of Rhode Island where he met his longtime companion, the late Kay Ward of Pawtucket. David had a good sense of humor, was an avid reader and conversed interestingly on many subjects. He always enjoyed the old Barrington YMCA, his travels around RI and pursued his many other interests. He was also a member of Union Lodge #10, F.&A.M.,Pawtucket, RI as well as the Warren Rod & Gun Club. David leaves his brother, Mars J. Bishop (Prudy) of Barrington, as well as five nieces and nephews: Debbie Wilson of Narragansett, Peter Lycurgus of Saratoga, California, Betsy Harker of Barrington, Philip Lycurgus of Barrington, and Mars Jonathan Bishop also of Barrington.
