You stuck with me and helped me to grow as a person and and to be the better person that I am today. I am so grateful for having had you in my life. I pray that you are totally healthy, happy and looking out at the beach and water. Miss you

I have thought a lot about Debbie since she passed. It seemed that she had a love of life, as if she believed that life is basically good.
I want to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to her children, Tara and Wade, and to Mike, her husband and my brother. I would have loved to have been able to attend her memorial and would have wanted to see you.
Love, Aunt Angela

Debbie, We will always remember the special moments we had when you came to visit us here on Cape Cod. The times we spent at the Cranberry Festivals, the Sandwich Boardwalk, or just enjoying the Canal. We miss you but thankfully have these fond memories.
You added joy to our lives and you will always be in a special place in our hearts. Rest in Peace.

I spent a summer in Rhode Island helping my father with his beautiful gardens on Tifft Road. Debbie would come in to my father's in-law apartment almost every afternoon after work and with a smile ask my father how he was doing and offer him some food she had cooked.
Debbie and I spent some time together. When the heat bothered her, we would go to the library where it was cool, or a movie, or a restaurant.
We took a couple of trips together. We went to Block Island. It was a warm sunny day and Debbie warned me that she would not be able to stay long because the heat would bother her. Well, I adjusted to that; it was fine. I prepared to look around a bit and then head back. But, as soon as we got there and entered the Chamber of Commerce, I found Debbie reading the brochures describing various activities. She said, "I would like to take a walk through the area, and I would like to go horseback riding on the beach." That sounded good to me and for several hours we explored, and rode horses down to the beach and along the shore.
The other trip was overnight to Misquamicut State Beach. Debbie wanted to walk to Westerly -- I was concerned. I really didn't think I could do it. I mentioned is there a bus we could take back? But we walked all the way there, ate, and on the way back walking I decided I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way. We would walk for maybe 10-15 minutes and then Debbie would need to stop and rest. We would sit on the sand and talk, with the ocean waves coming in. We did this the whole way back. We laughed at ourselves that we had to stop and rest, but were strong, and we made it. I think we were both proud and happy.
Do you know what I remember? Debbie smiled a lot. She liked to have fun. And I had fun with her.
