Dennis Boudreau Obituary

BOUDREAU, DENNIS M.
71, of North Providence, passed away on July 8, 2021 at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Born in Providence on May 2, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph Roland Boudreau and Anne Marie (Gaudet) Boudreau, and was a lifelong resident of North Providence.
From a very early age, Dennis became an avid stamp and coin collector, but later in late, his real passion was genealogy, and he became professionally published author on genealogy of Canadian Marriages of the Madeleine Islands. He was also a past President of the American-French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket. Most days, you could find him at his computer updating his genealogical records, as he was constantly receiving and searching for new information. Dennis was also a former Roman Catholic priest. He was a kind, loving, and generous person and will be missed dearly by his family and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by one brother, Leonard Boudreau and his wife Jill of Clearwater, FL, and three sisters, MaryLou Ferriera and her partner Louis Bigos, Jr. of North Providence, Jeanne Capaldo and her husband Richard of Cranston, and Anne Solitro and her husband Robert of Manchester, NH, a nephew, Jeremy Gambardella and wife Melanie of North Providence, a niece, Jennifer Gambardella and her fiancé Raymond Votolato of Lincoln, and also great-nieces, Jillian and Larissa Gambardella and great-nephew, James Gambardella, and many cousins and friends.
At Dennis' request, there will be no visiting hours and his burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. So sad to learn of Dennis's passing this week. My deepest sympathies to Dennis´s Family. He Introduced me to genealogy and taught me so much about it. I always enjoyed his company. I´ll miss him very much.

I extend my sincere condolences to the Boudreau's family. Dennis was a great genealogist who helped me
considerably while doing my genealogy when I retired in 2012. Once again he was always available to assist everyone. Take care! Benoit

Dennis was a wonderful gentleman. Caring , gentle soul. We were classmates at OLP and rode the same bus every morning and evening. He was a great classmate who I will remember fondly.

I remember Dennis so well, though the last time I saw him was more than 20 years ago! But my memories of him will inevitably be the lifelong kind.
A good friend of my mother, I grew up with Dennis in my weekly life, as a trusted adult, I could tell "just about anything to"! And whatever he said in response, would be either logical, or "passive-aggressively funny"! He was literally the most accepting person I have ever known! Perhaps the most memorable thing, a thing I deeply admired about Dennis, is that he was never afraid to be himself... A lesson I learned from him, which undoubtedly helped me grow as a person in the long run. Dennis was loved, and will be forever missed by this world, as I truly believe he has brought comfort and clarity to so many people along his life journey.

My deepest sympathies,
Jenn Brodeur (LeClair)

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Dennis. I last saw him at my mothers funeral in November. We would sometimes ride the bus together when we were both working at Blue Cross. My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
