Doris Dansereau Obituary

DANSEREAU, DORIS M. (BRISSETTE) 86, died on January 18th at Orchard View Manor in East Providence with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Lucien A. Dansereau whom she married in 1949. Born in Manville, and a life long resident of Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Alice (Duhamel) Brissette. While raising her young family, Doris worked at Vermette's a well known Woonsocket restaurant. Later, she worked as an office manager for Janelle's Trucking Co., retiring in 1988. Doris & her husband Lucien enjoyed many years of traveling together. Doris enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards & reading with her book club. She cherished her family & friends and especially her children & grandchildren. She could always be counted on for her loving support & encouragement. Our mother will be missed everyday. She is survived by a son; Paul Dansereau and his wife Janet of Saunderstown, four daughters; Louise Boucher and her husband Hank of No. Smithfield, Ann Trace and her husband Jim of Tuscon, AZ, Muriel Desmarais and her husband Armand of Woonsocket and Denise Piette and her husband Gerry of Cumberland, a brother; Leo Brissette of Woonsocket, three sisters; Terry Vermette of Tuscon, AZ, Lucille Lariviere of Bellingham, MA, Jeanne Stevens of Blackstone, MA and eight grandchildren and one great grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 26th 2013 at 10:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. holtfuneralhome.com

I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I enjoyed seeing her at Orchard View when I visited my mom, who shared her name (Doris). May all the happy memories you have and all the caring and loving you showed your mom get you through this period. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
