Edward Blamires Obituary

BLAMIRES, EDWARD LESLIE, 86, of Scituate Avenue, Cranston, died Saturday at The Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. Born March 18, 1920 in Kirkgate, Birstal, England; a son of Percy and Eva (Longbottom) Blamires. He had previously lived in Johnston and served in World War II, AAF, during the early occupation of Japan. His work life included Cranston Print Works, Electric Boat, and Ciba Geigy.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy May (Tanner) and the companion of Miriam Hardy. He is survived by his son, Edward L. Blamires, Jr., and his wife, Linda, granddaughters Leslie Bobrowski and Amy Snyder, and great-grandchildren, Sophie and Elijah Bobrowski. He was grandfather to the late Todd Wm. Blamires, brother of Earl Ronald Blamires and the late Kenneth Blamires.
