Edward Masello Obituary

MASELLO, EDWARD P., 80, of Cadillac Ave., Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 47 years of Nancy J. (Moretti) Masello. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Peter A. and Mary L. (Sanford) Masello. Mr. Masello was a former owner of Masello Beauty Supply Co. in Providence and later was the owner of the former Pistocco's Restaurant on Atwells Ave., Providence. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart; Life Member of Thornton VFW Post 2812; and was an avid golfer. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Kimberly J. Trow and her husband William of Coventry, Peter J. Masello and his wife Leeann of Lebanon, OH and Nicole J. Robinson and her husband Scott of Cranston; and loving grandfather of six. He also leaves many extended members of the Masello family. His Funeral Service to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial with military honors at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. I was so sorry to hear from my R. I. family of Eddies dying, we went to school together.I was a old fried of his for several years, from the Mt.Pleasant area.I had lunch with him about 6 years ago and we both talked about how blessed we were having our lovely families.My prayers go out to all his family, to remember all the good times you had with him. Dear Nancy & Family, We are so sorry about Ed's passing. It comes as a painful blow no matter what their age.Losing a Husband/Dad is like losing a substantial part of your life.
