Elena Capaldi Obituary
Born in Cardito, Italy, she was the daughter of Francesco and Anna Capaldi.
Mrs. Capaldi was employed by Citizens Bank, in the Research and Checking Department, for over thirty four years. She was a communicant of St. Ann Church in Providence.
Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her dear son, Marco Capaldi of Providence; her sister, Livia DelSignore of Lincoln; and a brother, Mario Capaldi of Providence.
Calling hours Wednesday, 5-8 PM in the A.A. MARIANI AND SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. Funeral Thursday at 10 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Ann Church, Hawkins St., Providence. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Elena's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: The Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Rd., Suite 400, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. My regrets for not being to attend the services.
I lost my mother a couple of years ago to similar circumstances. I met your wife through you at the Bank.
Since my mother's family is in Italy, Elena offered to write something for us or translate in communicating with our family.
Vinny, I know we spoke a few times about her condition since it was very much like what I went through with my Mom.
Have comfort to know that she was a great lady and she is at peace.
Have strength my friend with your son. It's not easy.

Vinnie: I was devasted to hear of Elena's passing. She was such a wonderful person - always so upbeat and that smile would melt anyone. God works in mysterious ways and sometimes it is hard for us to understand His ways, but we know our Faith in Him will see us through those difficult times.
