Evelyn M. (Bessette) Kaveny, 89, of Cumberland passed away are home on March 18, 2021 after a short illness.
She was the wife and best friend of the late John T. Kaveny for nearly fifty six years.
Mrs. Kaveny was a native of Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Leo A. Bessette and Edith E. (Lawson) Bessette.
She is survived by her children: John T. Kaveny Jr.,Esq. of West Kingston, Nancy Thadeio and her husband Peter of West Greenwich, Sheila Corse and her husband Peter of Cumberland and Cynthia Hanewich and her husband Jim of Wrentham. Evelyn is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew ((Teylir), Nicholas and Daniel Thadeio, Meaghan, Lindsey and Camryn Corse, Ryan, Casey and Kylie Hanewich as well her great grandson, Brexton Thadeio. She is also survived by her brothers Leo A. Bessette Jr. of Okeechobee, FL and Pawtucket and Robert D.Bessette (Alice) of West Palm Beach FL. She was a graduate of the Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing. She was a RN employed by Pawtucket Memorial Hospital, the Miriam Hospital and Mt. St. Rita Health Center prior to her retirement.
There will be a Mass of Chriatian Burial for Evelyn on Thursday, March 25th at 10:00 am in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited.
