Frankie was a much-loved member of the Board of Rhode Island Chamber Music Concerts for many years. She and Ira were regular concert-goers and her service is much appreciated.

My green candle is from Martha Delaney Mulcahey of West Greenwich, Classical 1972

I am lighting a special green candle with an Irish look to it, in honor of your amazing Mother. I shall say a prayer for her soul & for your family.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Frankie Wellins , a fixture on the RI COLLEGE campus while I was a student there in the early 70's. I later returned to RIC in 1980 to manage the bank on campus in the student union. I had the pleasure of meeting Frankie's husband Ira who I recall owned and operated a pharmacy/retail store. Frankie and I often had lunch off campus at the old Castle Spa. She was a great woman, and was influential in helping me with my resume, while she was the Director of Career Services at RIC. She was truly a Champion! She will truly be missed by those she helped mold. May she rest in peace! Arthur "Heavy" Speaks Class of 76
