George Loux Obituary

LOUX, GEORGE E., JR. 87, of Johnston, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Emma B. (D'Antuono) Loux. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George E., Sr. and Margaret H. (Pierce) Loux. He leaves a son George E. Loux III and his wife MaryAnn of Wantage, NJ and his granddaughter Nicole M. Loux of Brookline, Mass. Mr. Loux is also survived by his sisters Margaret Browning, Norma Loux and Patricia Pryor and by his brothers Donald Loux, Robert Loux, William Loux, and Dennis James Loux. He leaves three generations of nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Everett Loux, Dolores Simoneau, and Mary Evelyn Sisker. Mr. Loux was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was employed as a heating specialist with the Atlantic Coal Company for thirty years after which he was employed as the Building Maintenance Supervisor with the State Training School for an additional thirty years before retiring in 2008. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 4 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. Emma, George, Bill and all the Family,

Even though I am down in Chile, thanks to the Web I read of George's death. It seems like yesterday that we sat at the table together. You have my sympathies.
