Helen Hawkinson Obituary
passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the age of 92 in Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence accompanied by family. She was the wife of the late Robert K. ("Bob") Hawkinson to whom she was married for 62 years.
Helen was born in Queens, NY to parents James and Ann (Gibbons) Prendergast, and was a longtime resident of both Providence and Warren, RI.
She is survived by her son, Bobby, his wife, Kathy, and stepdaughter, Kristina; daughter, Christine and her son, Christopher; siblings, Anne (Mitchell) and Nora and Bill (Crandall); Larry and Carole (Prendergast); and Joy (Prendergast); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob); brother (James); brother-in-law (Edward Mitchell); and parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, February 20th at St. Mary of the Bay Roman Catholic Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Those wishing to pay respects may do so beginning at 9am in the Church Narthex. For full obituary and service information please visit, www.wilbur-romano.com.

Your love of life and caring for others in many ways has shown the world that you, Helen, were an amazing and beautiful person. I briefly knew Helen but her memory remains as one who remained passionate about her faith and family. I admired her for her clarity of vision regarding the church's teachings and her continual prayers for her family to remain faithful to the Lord.
