Helen Talan

TALAN, HELEN BRILL, of Warwick, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Brill of 40 years and the late Herbert Talan of 14 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Isadore and Ida (Schleifer) Lazarus, she had lived in Warwick for 6 years, previously residing in Cranston. Helen was a ward secretary in the Elinor Slater Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Temple Sinai. Devoted mother of Mark Brill and his partner, Thomas Gallagher, of Sarasota, FL and Susan Brill Feldman and her husband, Howard L. of Warwick. Dear sister of the late Murry and William Lazarus. She is survived by a large extended family. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in PRIEST CHAPEL, LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1469 Post Rd., Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to your favorite charity.
