MYCROFT, HERBERT,

III, 86, of George Waterman

Rd., Johnston, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband for 39 years of Eileen M. (Croce) Mycroft.

Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Herbert and Margaret E. (Sliney) Mycroft, Jr.

Mr. Mycroft was a Deputy Sherriff for the State of RI and later, an agent for the State of RI Medical Examiners Office before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Helen Burlock and her husband Steven of ME and Herbert E. Mycroft and his wife Terri of FL and the late Kimberly A. Mycroft; loving grandfather of six; loving great-grandfather of seven; and dear brother of the late Preston Mycroft and Nancy McConaughey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
