Peg, I was blessed to work with Harry. He was so good to me. And he was a professional reference for me for which I will never forget. I miss him not just now but have in the past few years since I left URI. Having recently been divorced I can only try to acknowledge what you must be experiencing after this loss of 38 years. Please remember how many of us out here loved Harry and feel for you.

Margaret,

Missy and I are so sorry to hear of your brothers passing. Jeff Chase, who I know from the car business, said he lost a dear friend....named Harry Amaral, then Missy told me the same day, that you lost your brother, Harry Amaral. I went to URI, so I remembered what Jeff said about Harry--and when missy said it too, I actually felt as though I had known him.
We wish you and your family strength, and we hope to see you soon.

To Harry's Family and Friends,

Harry was good to me when I was an undergraduate many, many years ago, And many years later, as a grad assistant in Harry's office, he taught me the ropes at the beginning of my financial aid career. He was a great mentor and a wonderful, caring person who touched a lot of lives and helped countless students. He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly.

My sincerest sympathies on your loss.

Dear Amaral Family,

I'm saddened by the news of Harry's passing. My family is from East Providence and have known Harry for many years. My cousins's Manny and Joe Tavares were childhood friends. When I decided to attend URI in 1979, Harry was the first person I went to see for advice. His guidance and care was instrumental in my success at URI and subsequently in my career. I had lunch with him this past spring and the first thing Harry did was give me a great big "Harry Hug" and made me feel so important and remembered. I wanted to share this story with you in these trying times. He was a super human being in my eyes and will be sorely missed. Tony Botelho

Harry loved his life. He adored his family and was loyal to his friends. He could never do enough for his "kids" -- the students of URI. I cherish his friendship as a great gift. My deepest condolences to his family and most of all to his granddaughter Maggie. She had him in her life for all too short a time.

To the Amaral Family and Friends,

I am so sorry for your loss. Although Harry was never a big fan of getting his hair cut I always looked forward to him coming into the salon. He always offered me great advice. I loved to hear his stories about his Family, how he loved to spoil his granddaughter and his golf game.
Harry will be missed by so many of us .
My thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time.

With Sincere Sympathy
Brenda
