I am so sorry to hear about Irene. I didn't know till today (3/27/17) when I just tried to call her. It is a shock. I'm so sorry I didn't get to go to ther services. Irene was a wonderful lady and friend. She is my mom's friend for many years and when my mom got very sick, I tried to keep Irene and my mom in touch. Irene came to visit mom. After mom died, Irene and I maintained a friendship. I would visit her and take Eddy for a walk, we would visit and have a nice time. Sometimes she would cook something, and sometimes I would bring supper. She and Mom (the two Irish gals) sent St. Patrick's Day cards to each other over the years and I tried to keep that up. Last year, I brought her corned beef and cabbage dinner. The last we talked on the phone we talked about getting together again. I regret that we did not get together for that visit. She was so sweet and I will miss her very much. Eddy must really miss her. My heart goes out to Irene's family. My sincere condolences.

It was my pleasure to have known Irene since she was a member of my choir when I was the organist at St. Peter's Narragansett some years ago.
What a sweet lady who absolutely insisted on staying in touch. It was just last month that I received a nice card keeping me up-to-date on things and wanting to have lunch. Well, sadly, it was not to be.
My condolences to Abby and family.

I've only known Irene a few yrs. From the moment I met her I immediately liked her!! She was a kind, gentle soul and had a heart of gold. I could talk to her about many situations, she was always there to lend an ear. I will miss her and think of her often with fond memories...
