Jacqueline Robbins Obituary
On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 long-time Somerset resident Jacqueline Robbins passed away after a year-long battle with Central Nervous System Lymphoma. She was 81 years old. Jackie was a loving mother, a talented maker and craftswoman, and a strong advocate for wetland and nature conservation. She will be missed as a mother and matriarch who cared deeply for the future of her children, grandchildren, and the planet on which we all must live. Jackie remained active until the week before she passed, but the tumors she had battled the previous winter returned in August 2018 with irreversible effects. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her three children – Gordon Jr., Glenn, and Stephanie - and three grandchildren. She will be celebrated in a private, family-only ceremony, and buried in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts next to her husband.

Knowledgeable and fastidious to perfection in so many ways creating beautiful clothing, lovely gardens and sumptuous culsine and even dedicated study of a navigation course we took together. She and Gordon nurtured three wonderful children. My sympathy

I only knew Jackie briefly as a member of the Swansea Quilt club. She was so pleasant and fun to be around as we travelled to quilt shows.

Jackie was an inspiration to me in so many ways. I taught Jackie through the URI Master Seamstress Program. Her fashion and couture work was perfect. We continued to be friends after classes. I valued her wisdom and laughter in our many conversations. She loved visiting our farm. I have already missed her in this past year and will continue to do so. She will remembered as a special friend. My sympathy to her family, Diane Martin
