Cheryl and Family,
I was sad to learn of your son's passing. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Cheryl, my heartfelt sympathies are with you and your entire family during this most difficult time. In reading the beautiful tributes posted, it is evident that James lived his life in a way that touched many people in unforgettable ways... as he did mine. Although it has been 17 years, I can still see him on the alter of St. Ann's church, standing as the youngest member of our children's choir... at only three years old. I have never forgotten James' tiny, angelic face; his porcelain skin, bright eyes and red lips as he sang out like a little bird from heaven... so proud to be standing by his sister Emily's side. His loving and gentle nature, as well as his humble intellect is a gift that will continue to be remembered and cherished by many. My son, Frank, wishes to extend his sympathies as well. The boys were classmates at West, and Frank had always expressed the highest regard for not only James' intelligence, but also for his gentle and kind demeanor. In his short life, I am certain that James has left an indelible mark on the lives of more people than we will ever know. I pray that, in time, his amazing life and legacy will give you comfort and peace in your hearts. Most Sincerely, Tina Iacobucci

My deepest, deepest condolences to the Coogan family. I hadn't seen Jimmy in a year or two, a friend of mine just informed me of this and I am in complete shock. I'm not sure what I can say or do to ease your pain, but I'll never forget him. He was a sweet, soft spoken guy, and could always make me laugh. You are all in my thoughts.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I love you and you will be missed! Until we meet again. You will always be in my heart. You and papa take good care of eachother.

Love your cousin

To the Entire Coogan Family:

It is with such a heavy heart that I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. My nephew Jonathan McVeigh was good friends with Jimmy and I can remember, like it was yesterday all of them going to the Senior Prom together and what a pleasure it was to meet your son. I cannot believe what has happened.

For the short period of time that God has graced Jimmy here on earth, just know how special he was and what a great friend he was to my nephew. He will be so deeply missed. Just know, that he has no more suffering and is in no more pain.

May you hold onto the great memories you have with Jimmy as those memories will carry you through the next very difficult days ahead. Keep those memories close to your heart and they will keep Jimmy lose to you always!

May he rest in peace and fly high with the ANGELS and know that he is sitting right next to the God in his beautiful Kingdom!
