FORTE, JOHN L.,
71, passed away at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 4, 2017. He was the husband of Frances A. "Fran" (Cavanaugh) Forte for 49 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George P. and Frances I. (O'Brien) Forte. John was the father of Christopher J. Forte of Warwick and Laurie A. Chatterley and her husband Mark of Greene; and the grandfather of four. John was the brother of Patricia O 'Hearn. He was predeceased by six other siblings. John worked in retail and in sales. He had served in the US Army. John was a 36 year member of the Coventry-West Greenwich Lodge of Elks where he was a past Exulted Ruler and also advancing to District Deputy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 10 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4 pm – 7 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) will be appreciated. iannottifh.com
