Joseph DiGiovanni Obituary

DiGIOVANNI, JOSEPH JR., 84, of Pawtucket, passed away on March 19, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Doris (DeRoy) DiGiovanni and son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Angelina (SanAntonio) DiGiovanni. Joseph was the owner of the J.D. Construction Co., a family business which he operated for over 50 years. Joseph loved his work, but found his greatest joy surrounded by his family. He was a U.S Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police-Pawtucket. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Joseph DiGiovanni, III and his wife Donna; two daughters, Sandra Nicatero and Shirley Parry; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Gabriele DiGiovanni. Calling hours Friday, 5 8 PM, in the A.A. MARIANI and SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence. Funeral Saturday at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Rd., Pawtucket. Burial in St Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Joe,

Just found out about your father. I feel awful. Please accept my deepest sympathy and to your family. My dad just passed away March 1st.I can remember working with you guys on plenty of jobsites. We worked hard but also found time to have fun at times. Your father was a great guy. Always made me laugh.Stay strong.
