Joseph Ptaszek Obituary
Born May 5, 1933, in Acushnet, MA, he was a son of the late Peter and Helen (Glowacki) Ptaszek. Mr. Ptaszek was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked all his life as a jewelry hand engraver, retiring from Tru-Kay Mfg.
In addition to his wife of 52, years, he leaves his four children, Diane Agostini of Pawtucket, Joseph D. Ptaszek Jr. of Rumford, Debra Bellamy of Riverside and Stephen Ptaszek (PFD), of East Providence; and his eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Nicholas, Benjamin, Nicole and Danielle. He was the brother of Walter Ptaszek of Lincoln, George Ptaszek of Pascoag and of the late Daniel Ptaszek.
His funeral will begin Tuesday at 9am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 4-8pm.
