Just learned of Joe's passing. Joe was a friend and mentor when my family and I started sailing in the 70's. He gave us more help and encouragement that helped enrich our sailing experience and has lasted to the present. When I started doing "Maine Humor" Joe thought I should have an appropriate hat so he gave me his big billed fisherman's hat that I still use to this day. He was a wonderful person and many people have been enriched by his life.God bless you Joe.
