Joshua Koutros Obituary

KOUTROS, JOSHUA CURTIS age 19, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. Born April 14, 1993, in Providence he was a son of Tammy E. Curtis of Seekonk and James P. Koutros of Rumford. Joshua also leaves behind two brothers, Justin James Koutros of Bristol, CT and Jacob William Koutros of Seekonk; his maternal grandparents, William and Rachel Curtis of Seekonk; and his uncles, Christopher Curtis of Taunton and William Curtis III of Springfield. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5-8pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectfully requested to the Rhode Island Lions Sight Foundation, 3 Austin Ave., Greenville, RI 02828. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

Josh, I thought about you so randomly the other day. I haven't been able to get you out of my mind since. I remember seeing you on the bus a week before you passed and wondering if you were okay..

We had very few interactions when we were in middle school. You were funny and definitely different.

Josh, Its been 2 weeks since you've been gone. In all honesty, I still cant believe you are. I miss you everyday of my life. There is not a day that goes by where I don't think about you. You have made such an impact on my life, all I can do is Thank you for everything that you've done for me. You shaped me into the person I have become today. Without you, I wouldn't know how to love someone. When you left, I felt as if you took a part of me with you that honestly I don't think I could ever get back. I love you with all my heart, and I will always. I dont think anyone will understand the pain I feel when it comes to you, because no one knew what our relationship was. I'm mad that you never said goodbye to me, but I guess when I was with you last month, that must've been your goodbye. Im so happy that your happy and content up there in heaven. One day I will see you again, and I hope your arms are wide open for me to hug you. I'll miss you everyday of my life. And for Tammy and the family, again I say I'm sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out to you guys. Eventhough I wasnt part of your family for very long, I loved meeting and being apart of it for as long as I was. U have no clue how I feel. I am died inside. I have. Toning left in life except for dad. When dies what is the point. There is not point. Now you are up in heaven were you don't belong. You belong with me down here on earth. But now you are up there with the angles. The angles are taking are of you for now. Don't you worry dad and I will be there all together. We will be a amily again. Then there will be no pain or suffering. Josh I love you with my heart and more. Only if I could bring you back I would. Many words will not help I know I tried and nor the tears from my eyes I know I cried. As you watch overemphasized now I know you will help me until the day comes.

I heard so much about Joshua from his grandmother. How she loved him and all of her grandchildren. There was an extra softness when she spoke about Joshua and his quiet spirit. She always said "he keeps everything inside". He was a gift to you all and in his short life, one thing was clear to many and that was how deeply he was loved and ever so treasured. May you all find peace in the days to come.

Josh you were always a good friend to all. We spent some good times together when we were younger. The childhood memories from Orlo ave and from Boy scouts with Brian will forever be with me. I miss you so much I wish you didn't have to leave so soon but I know you're in a better place and are in the hands of God.
