I was very saddened to hear the news about the passing of Dr. Hurley. He was my homeroom teacher for the two years I was at the middle school in Seekonk and he was a terrific influence on me. I never forgot his kind words and friendly personality. My condolences to his family, friends and co-workers. In reading other comments and news stories, he left a remarkable legacy.

I had Mr. Hurley 11 years ago as a social studies teacher, he was the greatest teacher I have ever had... I have written papers in college about the positive way he effected my life and changed the person I have become because he cared enough I am a better person today. He helped me education wise but he also built my self esteem at a time when I needed it most; he was my friend. My heart is broken and he will never be forgotten. "Goodbye my friend."

Well, Dr. Hurley was my uncle, and he did for me what he did for everyone; he encouraged me to do my best in anything I tried, and convinced me I could do anything I put my mind to. I will obviously miss him greatly. All the the love and support that everyone has shown is overwhelming, and on behalf of my family and myself, I thank you all.

We have always appreciated and respected Dr Hurley for what he has done for the Special Ed department in Seekonk. We will always remember him for his innovative forethought and the direct impact it has had on our son and only regret that we never took the time to appropriately thank him for all the good he has done.
We would also like to express our most sincere and deepest sympathy to Mrs Judith Hurley who has also had a great impact on our son's life as well.
Sincerely,

Mr. Hurley was by far my most influential teacher. He instilled a love of history and running in my life. He singlehandedly taught me the skills to suceed in both high school and college. He was a funny man, a likable man, a great man. He will be missed by those he has taught and those who missed the chance to learn from him. He was my teacher and my friend. Good bye

Mr. Hurley has been a part of my life for many years. First as a teacher then as a friend. It is because of him and his guidance that I myself am a teacher of young children today. Dr. Kevin Hurley was truly a hero to so many people and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with the Hurley Family in their time of sorrow.

I have known Mr. Hurley for years, both my son's have attended these schools. I remember him to be a very kind, gentle man with so much to offer for the students. He always showed concern and wanted to help in any way. I am sure for the Town of Seekonk School system he will be greaty missed. My thoughts & prayers go out to all family and friends. Just know that he is with the Angels now and will be taken care of.
