Michelle Burke-Nombrano Obituary

BURKE-NOMBRANO, MICHELLE R., (PAGEAU), RN, 53, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Mark W. Burke and daughter of Eva L. (Hannequin) Pageau and the late George E. Pageau. Michelle was a registered nurse at South County Hospital where she had worked in the ER and recovery room for the past 11 years. She formerly worked at the VA Regional Medical Center. She had served in the US Army at Walter Reed Medical Center during the Gulf War. She was the beloved mother of Naomi R. James and Nicole Marie Nombrano and grandmother of Koby Roland James and Alexis Nicole James. She was the sister of Marc E., Robert L., and Kenneth R. Pageau, Patricia A. Carmadella, Suzanne M. Gentile, Jeannine N. Fuller and the late Donald H. Pageau. Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 8:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Clement Church, Long Street where military honors will be accorded. Interment will be private. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Street, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated. Could never forget Michelle! Was thinking of her just a few days ago! Still breaks my heart that she was taken from us at such a young age! Will never forget her soft spoken manner, her compassion and kindness and her outstanding nursing skills!
