Dear Anne Marie, Kathy and Families,
A few lines from Chile.
I had been trying since I heard of Muriel's death to get some lines off to you. I could never find the way to do it. Yesterday, I even went "downtown" to buy writing paper and envelopes. Imagine. But today as I began the letter, I did one more computer search. And I found the information.
Early or late, I want to add my expression of sympathy to all those who have told you so many beautiful things about your Mom. You always knew it, or knew most of them, but it was good to hear them, certainly.
She was a good friend to me. Open and frank and honest. A "what you see is what you get" kind of a person. She never stopped reminding us that "I couldn't have gotten through it if it were not for my faith".
Like all of you, I will miss her. I hope that I live as openly, and smiling-ly thankful for every day as she did. A beautiful lady in so, so many ways.
You're all in my thoughts and in my prayers. (Did Michael play?)
Peace,
Father Bob

I would like to take a minute to express my sympathy to the family and friends of Muriel. I came to know Muriel through my friendship with her daughter Kathy and her husband David. As a friend of the family , and godmother to Heather, one of Muriel's grandchildren; I had the pleasure of having many a conversation at family gatherings with Muriel. She was one of the nicest women I have ever met. She was a very devoted grandmother to all of her grandchildren. I remember how worried she was when Christopher went into the military, and was being sent to Iraq. She was very protective of him and you knew how much she loved him and all of her grandchildren. I will miss her at family gatherings, but her memory will live on for eternitiy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy, David,Christopher, Heather and all of Muriel's family and friends.

We wish to express our heart felt sympathy at the passing of Muriel. When we think of St. Anthony's we remember her and all the work she did throughout the years. All the way back to the Fatima Society and all the fun we had with the parties, fund raisers and don't forget the budget ladies.
