Myles Goulart Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, RI, on April 1, 1988, he was a 2006 graduate of Seekonk High School where he participated in Track and Field. Myles was to begin classes at New England Tech this fall. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Myles worked part time at the McDonalds Restaurant on Fall River Avenue, Seekonk for the past two years. He also was a fan of sports and race cars. When Myles got his driver's license, he elected to be an organ donor in the event of his death. His parents followed through with his wishes.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his maternal grandmother, Constantina (Farias) Carvalho of Sao Miguel, Azores; his brother, Mathew J. Goulart of Pawtucket; a nephew Mathew J. Goulart Jr. and his mother, Elizabeth Pezzullo of Pawtucket; his girlfriend, Diana Jung of Norton, MA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of the late Jose Carvalho and Joao and Alzira (Ferreira) Goulart.
His funeral will be Thursday at 8:15am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-8pm. The family respectfully requests that donations be made in his memory to the Myles J. Goulart Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of America, 1021 Fall River Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Aloha Mario, Maria, Matthew: As we write this we think of Myles most fondly. He is always in our hearts and dearly loved. We first met Myles when we visited Massachusetts. He was a very young, absolutely darling child with a smile that seemed to light up a room. When we re-visted Massachusetts a few years ago, Myles, as a handsome grown, young man had the same smile we had known. We feel blessed to have had Myles in our lives.

Dear Uncle Myles,
I never got a chance to say goodbye to you. You were my bestfriend. I wanted to be just like you. I even wanted Diana as my girlfriend. We are alike in every way possible. Your little clone. You loved me soo much. At my age I don't understand what happend, but I know your not around to play with. I walk around calling your name, as if we are playing. Our hearts are so broken, we will never be the same without you. But God in His wisdom saw you and decided that you were just one of a kind and He decided to take you to His side. Myles was a great kid and everything a young man aspires to be at his age. He was loved very deeply and the memories I have of him I will cherish. I will always remember catching frogs in John and Maria's pool and Myles grossing my sister out with them. Ill remeber is mom tell him to stop cause shes to old for his shannigans. I wish there were words of comfort that I could bestow on you at this horrible time. I can't understand why things happen and why they happen to certain people.
