Neil Cicciu Obituary
64, longtime Warwick, currently from Pawtucket, passed peacefully at home and was surrounded by family and love, after a courageously fought battle with lung cancer.
Neil fought this battle the same way he lived his life, with quiet strength, humor, determination, and not wanting a big fuss.
He was a Navy Veteran and was stationed on the USS Monticello in CA. Back on our coast, he was a welder/pipefitter for Electric Boat. He spent many years as a quahogger and built refrigeration units before settling down at InTest Thermal Solutions.
Surprising no one, he worked until two weeks before passing. He was a man who liked simple things. He was funny, and deep, but didn't say a lot. He was a hard worker, loved the outdoors and his family.
Neil is survived by his wife Sharron Scofield, his children Sandra Cicciu, Sara Cicciu, Neil Cicciu Jr, and wife Kendra. He has two sisters Donna Cobb and Cheryl Smith with husband George
He leaves 7 grandchildren who he was immensely proud of; Xander, Sophia, Katie, Jackson, Chloe, Liliana, and Logan as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 2021, at 10:30 am in R.I. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI, followed by burial with military honors. Very sorry for the loss of Neil. We were all close as kids. His mother and my father were brother and sister. Soar like an Eagle Neil. Prayers and hugs to Sharon, all his children, grandchildren. Sisters Donna and Cheryl.

Thoughts and prayers! So sorry for your loss. Neil will be missed! Great man, dignified and strong. He was a special friend of my Mom’s (Lyn Minnich’s) and went to Burlingame Campground a lot with her and friends!
