Olga Briggs Obituary
93, formerly of Smithfield, died June 7, 2018 at Westbury Medical Care Home, Jackson, GA. She was the wife of the late Irving W. Briggs. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Concetta (Bruni) Rea.
Olga was a longtime communicant of St. Michael Church in Smithfield.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Royer of Hampton, GA, two grandchildren, Melanie Durham and Jeremy Royer, both of Locust Grove, GA, and six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Elvira Ricci and Anna Pickett.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.

Mrs Briggs was such a nice lady,always cheerful and so nice to me when I was friends with Arleen and dated her nephew Alan,and her Son-In -Law Phillip was friend of mine too,Now she is at peace with her great husband Mr.Briggs,remember when he worked for post office,and now she with rest of her family,Rest In PeaceMr,Briggs,and So sorry for her loss to her family,Arleen andPhillip and Family.God Bless yaLl at this sad time.

Mrs. Briggs brought so much joy to our entire neighborhood. I will never forget the hours she spent with me, coloring, playing in the sand (which she had her husband bring to her driveway), enjoying lunch together, building with Lincoln Logs. She had so much patience and I'm sure my mom appreciated the fact that she gave her a break. I will miss her dearly.
