Philip Giarraputo

GIARRAPUTO, PHILIP, of Toll Gate Road, died Friday at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joyce A. (Nastari) Giarraputo for just over three years and the late Eva (Nishanian) Giarraputo.

Born in Roslindale, MA, he was a son of the late Felice and Angelina (Amendolia) Giarraputo.

Mr. Giarraputo was an Orthotist for H.M. Campbell and Sons in Brookline, MA for many years until his retirement and was previously a salesman for Kaufman Co. in Cambridge, MA. An Operatic Tenor, he performed with various groups in the Boston area.

He was the loving father of Martha Angela Giarraputo of Warwick. Caring step father of Tracy L. Ryan of West Warwick and Christopher P. Ryan and his wife Elizabete of Attleboro, MA. Cherished brother of Joseph and Salvatore Giarraputo both of Boston, MA, Roger Giarraputo of South Attleboro, MA, Lucia Crosby of Jacksonville, FL, Rosina Nelson of Milton, FL, Maria-Elena Boulet of Boston, MA and the late Antonio and Edward Giarraputo and Francesca Vigue. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
