NOLL, Philip Kirk
36, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. He was born in Providence on July 31, 1984, the beloved son of David H. Noll and Cheryl Kirk Noll. Philip was maternal grandson of Shirley M. Kirk of New London, PA, and the late George V. Kirk. He was the paternal grandson of the late Philip D. Noll and Virginia Noll Wing of Wurtsboro, NY, and the step-grandson of the late Chester A. Wing. He was the nephew and godson of Jeffrey D. Noll and Melanie Noll of Smithfield, RI. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Philip lived his whole life in Providence. He was an excellent chess player, rated 1869 from the US Chess Federation. He was a naturally talented drummer, playing congas and djembe, as well as drum kit. He was a very good, self-taught piano player and singer, in the style of Tom Waites. He was a student of music theory and philosophy. He wrote poems, lyrics, and stories. He took beautiful photographs. Phil loved his family and his friends, and he appreciated the love he got from all of them. He will be deeply missed.
