Raymond Mucci Obituary

MUCCI, RAYMOND P.
Raymond Philip Mucci, 60, of Seekonk, passed peacefully on October 30, 2020, at The Miriam Hospital from complications related to Covid-19.
Ray leaves behind the two great loves of his life-wife Terri Lima Mucci and son Philip Lima Mucci both of Seekonk. He is predeceased by his parents Philip and Marjorie (Clegg) Mucci. He is survived by his sisters Cheryl LeCam of Lincoln, Joyce O'Flanagan of Seekonk, and Sheila Rozes of West Warwick. Ray also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Those who miss Ray are too numerous to count or mention; he had a big personality, and his arms and heart were open to all. If you knew Ray, you became a friend - and Ray was always the one guy you'd call when you needed help.
Ray was a hard worker throughout his life; he was one of the original franchises of both Ticketmaster and Video Connection. He worked for 28 years for East Side Service Center where he was the Towing Manager at the time of his passing. But work never defined Ray's life – he was a great husband, father and friend. It was to his immediate and extended family that he devoted most of his energy and concern. Ray took great pride and joy in watching Philip's soccer and hockey games. Ray and Terri's "all are welcome" July 4th cookouts and Christmas Eve feasts were legendary.
Ray Mucci left many lives richer for having been part of them. He will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10am in St. Raymond's Church, 1240 N. Main St. Providence. Burial will be at Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
Please omit flowers. Contributions in Ray's memory may be made to Seekonk Animal Shelter, 100 Peck St., Seekonk, MA 02771. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

I am amazed we received a message about remembering our dear friend Ray today! We were talking about him this morning at breakfast. We spoke about how good a human Ray really was and chuckled about how many disasters he helped us rectify as kids with his help! My wife and I would not be married if it were not for Raymond. We are both unable to list all of the things Ray did to help us and our friends as young adults it might break the internet! Love you and miss you!

We are very sorry for your loss of a great man. I only met Ray about 5 yrs ago and in that time did not hesitate to offer a helping hand. He was a great friend and will be deeply missed. He was always one to make everyone laugh. Our prayers are with you and we will be there when a shoulder is needed.

Sheila and family,

I'm so sorry to hear of Raymond's passing. I remember him at the video store, always helping me to pick out movies, and never charging me. A great all around guy. Rest In Peace, Raymond.

My love for film was fostered by Ray and his ability to allow me to have a "tab" at his video store when I was in my teens. Ray was my hero. He hired me to work for his power-washing company when I was 20. He helped me survive financially as my only child was being born. A funny, loving, passionate soul he was. And boy did he work hard. Always. I loved seeing him on the road on the East Side driving his flatbed. I always stopped to talk to him if I saw him. He is a huge part of my memories from my teens into my late 20's. Ray was kind and generous and went out of his way for others. I will miss him greatly. To his family, his wife, his child, my heart breaks for you, I cannot even imagine what you are going through. Just know Ray touched so many peoples lives in a positive way and he is gone way too soon. Rest in peace Mooch. Love ya buddy!!

I grew up with Ray and went to school with him from the time we were 6 years old. I remember him as a sweet Boy. We would ride his "mini bike" on Blackstone Blvd and then go to his house to have lunch. He had lovely parents. As adults I would see Ray on the East Side he always ask about my Family and would tell me about his Son Philip. He was always willing to help others and not looking for anything in return. Ray's passing is a loss not only for his Family, but for all of us as well.
