Archambault , Reverend Richard
Richard died August 14 in St Petersburg, FL. He was born in West Warwick the son of Alphonse P and Jessie (Richard) Archambault. Richard graduated from Our Lady of Providence Seminary, Providence College, and Rhode Island College with a Masters degree in Education. He taught in the Coventry,RI and Fort Worth, Texas School systems. After completing religious studies in London, England and Ottawa,Ontario,Canada,Richard was ordained a priest of the Missionaries of Africa on June 30th, 1973.His mission to the people of Ghana was a great joy to him and an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. Richard was predeceased by a sister Rachel Ilijevich. He leaves a brother Roger and his wife Colleen of Somerset,MA and brother in law Robert Ilijevich and his wife Susan of Richfield,OH. He also leaves 4 nieces,a nephew,2 great nieces and 4 great nephews. He loved traveling to W Warwick for summer vacations to visit relatives and friends and celebrate Mass at Our Lady of Good Council church.After a funeral Mass at the Cathedral of St Jude the Apostle in St Petersburg, his cremated remains will be interred alongside Missionary colleagues in Florida.
