Robert Barkan Obituary
Born in Providence, the devoted son of Johanna (Beine) Barkan of Warwick and the late Edward L. Barkan, he lived in Warwick before moving to Johnston in 1989.
Mr. Barkan worked at BIF Industries and C.I. Hayes as a machine electrician and later at Zebra Technologies as a maintenance mechanic. He also served 11 years with the RI Army National Guard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Arthritis Foundation Southern NE Chapter, 2348 Post Rd., Suite 104, Warwick, RI 02866.

You can't imagine what a blow that was to us to hear about Bobby's death. We are very saddened by it and just wish we could be with you at this moment to try and make it easier for you. Our prayers are with you always and if you need someone to talk to we will always be there for you.

Peggy and family,
Andy and I were so saddened to hear that Bob had passed. We have lost contact over the years and unfortunately the last time we saw you was at Robby's wake. Our hearts go out to you and the girls. We met at childbirth classes and realized you and Bob had gone to high school with Andy. We became friends and shared many great times together. The vacation in NH was and is a very fond memory. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Those of us who worked with Bob as I did, saw a man who was quick with a smile and laughed often, but rarely wore a frown. Our world is a little darker because he was one of it's bright and shining lights. I shall always remember his booming chuckle type laugh, I'll miss him.
