Bobby Blomstedt was my cousin. He was such a good guy. Bobby checked on Aunt Ruth at the nursing home almost every day. Anna, her roommate, told us he was often there. Bobby would sneak Aunt Ruth an extra dessert (she has a sweet tooth), and he would get Anna one too. Back on Cape Cod, we raised the flag in his honor, sang Semper Paratus (very badly), and toasted to his memory. He was a wonderful man and we will miss him.

I only knew Mr. Blomstedt for a couple years but every time I talked with him he was always kind and shared his wisedom with me like I was part of the family. I am deeply sorry for his family's loss.

Very saddened to hear of my cousin's passing. I still remember our big cousin walking me and my brother down to the Rumford firehouse to see the trucks when we visited in 1957. I'm looking into arrangments to fly up for the funeral.
