Ruth Watts Obituary
A native of Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Pearley and Celia Allen Carter, wife of the late Iva McLain Gregory and S. Jack Watts.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Marshall Rogers of Belmont, Pat and Russ Ludwick of Manteo; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Jerry Ann Gregory of Efland, Richard and Carolyn Gregory of Grimesland; sister, Dot Lax of Lexington; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Iva Gregory Jr.; sisters, Velma Harrison and Gertrude Crews; brothers, Pete, Clyde and Nick Carter.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors, Belmont.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1 p.m., Monday at the old Rachel Chapel Cemetery, Laurel Hill.
