We have became so close in the past three years. Im still waiting for people to say "when is ur brother in law gonna be here" or "how is ur brother in law". Its definately not the same playing poker without you. Softball is coming up and we are all gonna be looking for our "GOLD GLOVE" third basemen. But dont worry we are gonna do great this year just for you. Im gonna make sure Andrew gets some fishing in this year. Im gonna look after him just like you would. I miss the long talks that we used to have about anything and everything. I am gonna miss you alot.

To my son,
In my lifetime, I have never seen so many people come to say goodbye with such sorrow and tears. I always knew you were a caring, sensitive and genuinely honest person. But the show of family and friends only proved what I already knew.
There were special people in your life, but now you're in heaven with the most special being of all. God, he has the best angel of all.
I might not be able to hold you physically but I will always be able to hear, see, and hold you forever in my heart. There will be lots of tears but also joy because you were my son. The son that gave so much, and asked for so little in return.
You are our son, our friend, and our inspiration. We will miss you dearly.
We would like would thank everyone who shared this time with us because of you, Stevie's legacy will be forever in our hearts.
Love,
Mom, Dad, Danielle, Andrew, Hailey, and Jaelynn

Stevie,
where do i start. We were always there for each other through thick and thin. We had our good times and our bad times. I think we had alot more good times than anything. You always had my back when things were not going good for me. All the times when you lived in Oakland Beach and we would hang out. Even the couple of times when Andrew was a baby and you watched him for one of the first times, oh you were so nervous at first it was cute. You would yell at me and tell me to be more gentle with his legs when i was changing him. Then when you moved back home and we shared the downstairs together. Oh fun times! I remember when Andrew was first born and i you came to visit me at the hospital, you said "look he smiled at me!!" and the nurse had to crush your spirits and say he only had gas. Then with Hailey she was your little angel that still to this day couldnt do anything wrong (even though you knew she could and was). Everyday they still ask about you and wish they could see you again. I am still waiting for you to come walking through the front door and ask if you could use my car to go out. I would give anything to see you or hear your voice again. You have always listened to me when i had to vent about anything no matter how big or small it was. You have always been my best friend, my backbone, and my brother. i will never forget all the times that we shared together (even the ones of just sitting home and watching tv together). Im still so lost and cant believe that you are gone. I miss you and love you so much.
Love you more than words could say.

Uncle,
I am going to miss al the fun we had together. Playing the WII and Playstation together. But most of all in the summer i am going to miss going fishing with you and catching our little fish. I going to miss when we would play on the slip and slide together and on our water slide too.
Love you lots,
~Bubby

The summer of 2007, I visited RI and found something there that had eluded me most of my life. It is called a family. I met many relatives and fell in love with all of them. While at my uncle and aunt's home this beam of energy came in and of course it was Stevie. We hadn't seen each other for seventeen years but time hadn't deminished the bond we felt when we were kids. Between hugs, tears, and trying to outtalk each other the years just melted away. That week I will never forget. I got to go boat-riding, fishing and of course bar-hopping. When Steve and I would go out he would introduce me to his friends as his favorite hillbilly. He knew everyone and everyone knew him.
I learned alot that week. There are still honest and truly giving people in this world. What you saw is what you got, a man with a true smile and a big heart. Stevie was someone full of life and love.
After that week we got to see each other twice more but there were alot of phone calls between us. We also talked about him coming to KY.
Well he didn't make it to Ky. God had other plans for him. When it is my time to leave this earth and enter the pearly gates I know Stevie will be on the other side waiting for me, smiling, with a deck of cards in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. He will always be in my heart and
Love always,
Billie-Ja & family

My memories of Stevie are tender and sweet because that is the type of person he was to me. Auntie let me do that for you, Auntie I'll get it, Auntie I love you. The love he had for his family was unconditional. The pranks he and the kids played on me I won't mention but suffice it to say we've had lots of laughs over it. His Grandmother adored him. She would always talk about what a good kid he was just by the little things he would do for her or just sit there and talk with her. We were blessed to have Stevie in our lives, even if it was for only a short 31 years. I will so miss that ray of sunshine.

Love,

Spencer Family,

I just learned about the passing of Steve. I'm sorry for your loss. I went to NKHS with Steven and he was a great person, friendly, funny, and always had a huge smile on his face. He will be missed. Cherish all the good times and memories of him.

To my Stevie, my friend, my nephew, although we lived miles apart you were always with me in my mind and heart. When you were just a little guy and I met you for the first time we formed a bond of pure love, joy and laughter. Through the years when I would come home that bond grew stronger with each year. I was your aunt Pam, the funny one. I would send you and Danielle santa claus coloring books every Christmas. As you grew up I would still send them and you always told me that you enjoyed them. You became quite the man I always knew you would. Last year when I came home I took over your bedroom just like I always did. We had so much to say to each other and never ran out of words. Every time I would look at you my heart swelled with so much love and pride. You were the center of the family. Your parents, sister, and Bub and Peanut will be lost for a long time without you. You are in Heaven now, and knowing you, probably cooking and putting a smile on everyone's face. I will miss you very much my nephew. You will always be in my heart and a little smile will cross my lips when I think of you. Love you always,
Aunt Pam

We grew up together and at different stages of our lives…were very, very close. I’ll never forget that night when I met you, or the night that they told me you left…but however much those two dates changed my world forever, what is most important – what I will remember most— is the space in between. In the coming weeks, months, years – there are lots of stories of ours that I will share with those who miss you, but I think that I’ll keep some just for me too. Thank you Steve for being like my younger brother and great protector all at once. As so many people have said before me – I will miss you for the rest of my life, but am also grateful that you were in it all.

Dear Steve, Kerri and Danielle
I am so sorry for your loss. Stevie was such a kind, generous, caring person - as you know better than anybody. From when I first started dating Jon, he always told stories about his cousin Stevie "snake". He would talk about their adventures in North Kingston, and their fights and trips to the Bahamas with Aunt Laurie and Vanessa. By the time I met Stevie, I felt like I already knew him. Before long, he really felt like an old friend. No matter what was going on or if we were all broke or whatever - Stevie always made it fun. He could chef up an amazing meal out of not much and going on a fishing trip with Stevie was a guaranteed good time. His love of life and his love of his family showed so much. He always talked about his Nephew Andrew and was such a good Uncle. Stevie will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten. He will live on through all of the lives that he touched. It is amazing the number of lives that he touched - which was shown by the non-stop line of people who came to pay their respects. I feel lucky that I got to know Stevie. Rest in Peace.

The news of Steven's passing came as such a shock. I was one of Steven's 7th grade teachers and over the years he'd visit me at school once in a while. I have always held a special place in my heart for him; he was one of those students a teacher never forgets. I am so saddened by his passing but trust he is at peace now. My heart will continue to hold his cherished memory. My deepest sympathy to all his family but especially his sister.

My deepest sympathies to everyone who is mourning for Steve. He was someone very special to so many people, especially those of North Kingstown. First having met him when I was 6 living at Asqah, he became fast friends with whomever he met. He loved everyone and that showed with his smile and those arms wrapped around you when you saw him. Didn't matter how much time had passed between seeing each other, he was that kind of person. I will smile at the memories I have and have comfort knowing he is at peace smiling down on us all. Stay strong and think of that smile....it's contagious and will live on in everyone's memories.

Steve, Kerrie, and Danielle,

I am at a loss of words. Stevie will be missed by so many. EVERYONE who ever met him loved him. He always had a smile for everyone and a hug for those he held close. We went to dinner at the Texas Road house a few months ago and I heard "Auntie" and I was wrapped in a big bear hug. I had no idea Stevie was working there and I feel so lucky and blessed to have seen him and gotten that last big hug from him. I will hold that memory close forever. Please let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do.

My heart and prayers are with all of you.

Although there are many memories of Snake, I will always go back to the times when the Brown Rice Crew would get together in my apartment and wreck an instrumental. Me on the cut and Brown Rice with the flows, laughing, cracking, joking and just having a great time anytime we got together. If you knew Snake, you knew his walk was Hip Hop, you knew his laugh was Hip Hop, his style and graces... were all Hip Hop. Snake loved Hip Hop and for those that follow Hip Hop, we are taught to accept people for whom they are, but Snake never had to “learn” that… he just was that… accepting, honest and true. That is Hip Hop, that was Snake. I am proud to have known Snake… but on Jan 28, 2010 Hip Hop and most importantly his family and friends have lost a true solider, but Heaven gained one hell of a kid!
To his family and friends, you are in my prayers and the memory of Steve will shine as bright as his smile. Rest In Power, lil homie. We miss you.
