Theodore Carty Obituary
Born in Providence, a son of the late John J. and Bridget J. (Reid) Carty, he lived in Providence before moving to Warwick in 1965. He was a graduate of St. Pius School, Class of 1939, LaSalle Academy, Class of 1943, St. Mary University, Baltimore, MD and earned his master's degree in social sciences from Boston University.
Mr. Carty was the father of Eileen M. Marshall, John J. Carty, Theodore D. Carty, Jr. and Lt. Cmdr. Matthew R. Carty (USCG) and brother of Rev. John T. Carty, Pastor Emeritus, St. Augustin, Newport. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Friday 2-4; 6-8 pm. Information and guestbook visit TheQuinnFuneralHome.com.
