RICHARD, THEODORE J. "TED" JR. 89, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dora A. (Parascandolo) Richard for sixty seven years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Theodore and Mildred (Moore) Richard, Sr., and step-son of Anne (Tyczkowski) Richard. Ted was a decorated World War II Veteran and a graduate of Providence College class of 1950. He was employed by The Providence Journal for 40 years as a Circulation Director, retiring in 1990. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Theodore J. Richard, III and his wife Paula of Scituate, Lorraine Richard Petrone of South Yarmouth, MA, John J. Richard and his wife Ann Marie of Smithfield, Steve J. Richard and his fiancé Caroline DiGiulio of Johnston, and Lisa M. New and her husband John of Dennis, MA. Ted was the cherished grandfather of eight and great grandfather of three. He was the brother of Raymond Richard of Johnston, Leonard Richard of Lake Worth, FL, and the late Doris Richard, S.N.D. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church at 10:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
